Message from the University President on Teacher's Day and the Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Professor Morteza Motahhari
May 02, 2026
Teacher's Day commemorates the lofty status of teachers and the selfless sacrifices of those who keep the lamp of knowledge and wisdom lit in the darkness. This year, however, this day has taken on a different atmosphere: virtual classes in the harsh conditions of war, and a lesson called "Resilience" in which we are all students.
The anniversary of the martyrdom of the martyr professor, Ayatollah Motahari, is an opportunity to once again emphasize the high position of the professors. Martyr Motahari was not just a teacher; he was a model of commitment, enlightenment, and love for the progress of our beloved Iran.
In difficult days, when distances became virtual and bombings had stolen sleep from our eyes, you esteemed professors, with the same love and sense of responsibility, tied the chain of knowledge from online classes to the trenches of resistance. The exhaustion of day and night, the worry of internet outages, and the terrifying sounds of war, never weakened your determination to teach the future generation of this land.
On behalf of all students and academics, I am deeply grateful for every moment of effort, every page of virtual teaching, every compassionate message, and every glance you have cast towards the future of this country. You are not only teachers, but also a barrier of hope against the darkness.
Happy Teacher's Day to you; may your status be high, your hearts be filled with peace, and your steps be firm on the path of the advancement of proud Iran.
