Information Technology has undoubtedly brought about extensive transformations in all social and economic spheres of humanity, and its impact on human societies is such that the world today is rapidly turning into an information society. A society in which knowledge and the extent of access to and useful use of knowledge play a central and decisive role. The breadth of its application and its effects on various aspects of modern life and the future of human societies have become one of the most important topics of the world today, attracting the attention of many countries around the world.
Main Activities of the Information Technology Officer
* In the Hardware Domain
• Diagnosing hardware defects of systems and troubleshooting equipment within the scope of the provided training
• Installing operating systems and ancillary software, anti-virus software, etc. on the computers in the unit
• Supervising the process of sending equipment that needs repair (such as printers) to private companies and controlling the quality of equipment repair
• Attaching a label listing the internal computer parts along with technical specifications and the start and end dates of the parts warranty in a specified manner on the purchased computers
• Preparing a list of suitable equipment based on needs (if the need is approved) according to the specifications provided by the Information Technology and Communications Management
* In the Network Domain
• Participating in training courses to become familiar with new knowledge and technology and to increase the level of knowledge and professional and personal skills.
• Proper maintenance of all network equipment, both Active and Passive, based on Information Technology and Communications standards
• Complete awareness of the application and operation of Active equipment
• Complete awareness of how to connect the center to the central building and access the intranet and internet network
• Complete awareness of how to troubleshoot the internal network and deal with potential problems
• Maintaining, preserving, supporting, and troubleshooting from the beginning to the end of the existing network
• Troubleshooting and resolving network problems of all computer systems in the relevant center (IP and network card, etc.)
• Being informed of any construction operations and striving to maintain and preserve network equipment
* In the Software Domain
• Following up and providing appropriate solutions to solve software problems and improve the system
• Consulting with the relevant unit to automate processes
• Coordinating with the Information Technology Management regarding the conclusion of software support contracts
• Technical familiarity with relevant software and hardware
• Awareness of the generalities (scope and type of activities covered) of the software of the relevant unit for more appropriate follow-up of related issues
• Being informed of any software changes and developments
